The multiplayer game modes have been revealed in Black Ops 6, but there aren’t too many surprises.

As part of the ongoing intel drops for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, Activision has unveiled the complete list of game modes players can expect for the launch on Oct. 25. Game modes are a major part of any multiplayer experience, and there is plenty of variety coming to Black Ops 6 right away.

However, the modes in multiplayer are generally what players have come to expect from a Call of Duty title. There aren’t any modes we either haven’t seen before or weren’t available in the September beta tests. Still, it’s worth knowing what modes are available to you prior to starting up Black Ops 6.

Black Ops 6 game modes listed

In total, there are technically 12 different game modes available in multiplayer. However, this number can be extended if you include variants of certain game modes. For example, we’re counting the entirety of Hardcore as one game mode, but there are several additional modes available in Hardcore. It’s also worth noting that the Face-Off mode has different variants that offer some additional modes.

As Black Ops 6 progresses through its upcoming seasons, additional modes will be added to the rotation. These include permanent modes as well as certain playlists that are around for a limited time (i.e.Nuketown24/7). Atlaunch on Oct. 25, though, this is what you’ll see when you go to find a match in Black Ops 6.

Additional modes in Black Ops 6

While the game modes listed above are all of the traditional modes coming to multiplayer, there are also other ways to experience the game. These experiences aren’t considered modes, per se, but they are going to be included at launch.

That completely wraps up all of the modes you can expect in Black Ops 6 on Oct. 25. There’s quite a bit of content to explore at launch, but future updates will add to the content in drastic ways.
