Call of Duty

Guides

You’ll have to fork over some cash for all the rewards.

Squid Game has arrived in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6), and with it comes new game modes, rewards, and a little bit of controversy. The Squid Game event lasts for 20 days in BO6, meaning it will end on Jan. 23. During that time, you can unlock 20 total rewards and take part in new multiplayer and Zombies playlists.

The main draw of the Squid Game event is, of course, the rewards. Most of the rewards in the event are Squid Game-themed and feature items you’ll recognize if you’ve seen the second season of the hit Netflix show. To see all the rewards and how to unlock them in BO6, keep reading the guide below.

Squid Game Rewards in BO6

As previously mentioned, you can earn 20 rewards from the Squid Game event. The big catch with the rewards, however, is that only 10 of them are free.

The additional 10 are unlocked via the Premium Track, which costs 1,100 COD Points. This is the first time a Call of Duty title has introduced a paid event track. So if you want to unlock every single reward in the event, it will cost you roughly $10.

Regardless of your stance on this new addition, every reward in the event is unlocked by earning XP. This includes rewards on both the Free and Premium Tracks. Every time you reach an XP milestone, you’ll unlock one or two rewards depending on whether you purchased the Premium Track or not.

Here’s a look at every Squid Game reward in BO6 and the XP required to earn each of them:

As you can see, it will take 356,000 total XP to unlock all rewards in the Squid Game event. If you purchase the Premium Track, you’ll unlock two rewards at every XP milestone while Free Track players just unlock one.

At the very least, the new Cleaver Melee Weapon is a free reward, so the event isn’t pay-walling any new weapons. However, many players are frustrated by the fact they’re having to pay for event rewards when in the past, they’ve always been free.

The Squid Game event in BO6 ends on Jan. 23, so you have until then to unlock all the rewards and play the new modes available. The new modes include Red Light, Green Light and Pentathlon in multiplayer while Zombies and Warzone also have their own Squid Game mode.
