Fight Mid everyday as CT in this new Dust 2.

Dust 2 will not be the same—both at the professional and amateur level—after the latest CS2 patch notes released on late Monday, July 22.

The update modifies the crate stack outside CT spawn, thus giving the CTs an option to get to Catwalk on their own rather than needing a boost. This one change will single-handedly change entirely how the CTs will play Dust 2 as they’ll get to fight Mid very easily and be more aggressive.

From the Terrorists' perspective, on the other hand, they’ll have to be way more careful when setting up a strategy toward Catwalk as there’s a good chance one or two CTs will be there to defend it every round.

It’s currently unclear, however, when exactly this update will start being used in the professional scene. There are only six days remaining for the BLAST Fall Groups, so teams wouldn’t have much time to adapt if BLAST chooses to use the update.

On top of this change to Dust 2, CS2 also mentions in the patch notes that Nuke got clipping adjustments and that the PGL Copenhagen Major winners finally got their in-game trophy added to their Steam profile—which will certainly make Justinas “jL” Lekavičius happy.

There’s a lot of dos and don’ts.
