At Gamescom 2019,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotpublisher Bandai Namco has shown off several new details concerning the action RPG, such as the original character, Bonyu, from the Ginyu Force andscreenshots of Trunks. Now, a demo from the event has found its way online which highlights the final climactic battle of the Cell Saga where Gohan becomes Super Saiyan 2.
This nearly 12-minute video, which follows an official trailer that gave a much smaller glimpse at Teen Gohan gameplay, focuses on the aforementioned battle and highlights several components of gameplay, especially in terms of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. It shows some of his super attacks, including the iconic Kamehameha Wave, the Dragon Hammer Fist, Guided Masenko, and Rapid Fire Ki Wave. There is also a control scheme forDragon Ball Z: Kakaroton the lefthand side that gives players an idea on the more basic controls.

Of course, this video also gives players a look into what they can expect from Cell inDragon Ball Z: Kakarot. He can be seen duplicating himself and ganging up on Gohan, usingPiccolo’s Special Beam Cannonand Kamehameha Wave techniques (among others), and putting up a fight worthy of Cell’s name.
One major attention-getter is the unique aiming system for some moves highlighted throughout the gameplay, which is something that makesDragon Ball Z: Kakarotstand out. Another factor to consider is the actual length of the gameplay, as the last three minutes are cinematics that bringsthe Cell sagato a close, but this still means that the fight with Cell took roughly 8 minutes.
Some complain that this makesDragon Ball Z: Kakarotseem slower than the franchise’s past manifestations, which is a solid possibility, but others may enjoy how this will require more skill than past games. In other words, we will have to see how this turns out when it becomes available to the public, sometime in early 2020.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotis slated for release in early 2020 and is coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
