A walkthrough of how to complete the Follow their Traces Quest for Bunny in The First Descendant, including Records locations.
TheFollow their Tracesquest in The First Descendant challenges you to find records of Bunny’s parents, who we learn she has lost touch with.
Follow their Traces is a Descendant Exclusive Quest, that will only become available if you have either unlocked Bunny via the Sub Quest, or you have researched or purchased her directly. To start the mission talk to Alpha in Albion HQ and the quest will be a new option.
What you should know about Bunny before doing Follow the Traces
In the initial conversation with Alpha and Nell, we see Bunny is jumpy - no pun intended - about looking into her past. We hear what seems to be a conversation of her younger self talking to a grandparent. “She hates me doesn’t she? Is that why she left me? And Dad? Grandma, I don’t want you to leave me too.”
We know from Bunny’sofficial bio on the Nexon website, that her parents “only occasionally showed their faces and disappeared after her sixth birthday”, and that she was left with her Grandma. Their departure led to her pursuing a life of crime, becoming nicknamed Albion’s Greatest Troublemaker. When her Arche power revealed itself later in life, she was given a choice by Albion HQ to become a descendant as a way to be forgiven for her past misdemeanours.
Bunny from the initial conversation with Alpha, seems to have buried the memory of her parents deep inside. Follow their Traces will see her come face to face with their memories, and is part of a bigger storyline with Bunny.

Follow their Traces quest walkthrough for The First Descendant
After talking to Alpha in HQ to begin Follow their Traces, you will need to first listen the records of Bunny’s parents. You’re not explained how to do this, and this is a recurring theme on the Follow their Traces quest. However, here is a step-by-step guide of how I completed Follow their Traces to save you the stress.

How to unlock the Sterile Land in The First Descendant?
If you do not have access to the Sterile Land in your world map, it means you have not progressed far enough in the main story.
You will need to complete theDiversionary Operation for Infiltration Main Questwhich takes place in the Sterile Land for the Follow Their Traces Quest.
This Main Quest is unlocked after you defeat your first Void Intercept Battle versus the Grave Walker which Alpha requests of you. This battle can not be attempted before you reach level 10, so just progress along the main story first.
The Sterile Land itself is unlocked after you complete the the Formal Descendant Training Quest ahead of the Diversionary Operation for Infiltration Main Quest. After that progress in the main story until you unlock the Restricted Zone area of Sterile Land, where Bunny’s parents records are located.
