Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is just a few hours from arriving worldwide. Epic Games has officially unveiled everything players can expect when the “Super” season arrives. As with most seasons, this superhero-themed season features one new mechanic, called Hero Rank, that is paramount to the experience.

All Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Hero Ranks explained
As you improve your Hero Rank, you will gain access to specific Hero Caches. The loot and items contained in these Caches depend on your rank. For example, Rank C Caches, which are available from the jump, offer Uncommon items and the potential to find a Boon.
Conversely, a Rank S Cache, which is the highest, offers Legendary loot, a guaranteed Boon, and a Hero Item. There is also an S+ rank. Once you reach that rank, you will receive any Boons you are missing.

The S Tier Caches are where you will want to be every match, considering you will have access to Hero Items and the newestExotic weaponsintroduced this season. Those include the following:

Lastly, on being Rank S, all Boons are at their best when you are at the highest rank. For example, the Storm Caller Boon replenishes Shield at its base level. Those at Rank S will receive the Storm Forecast benefit to be able to tell where future Storm Circles will pull.

For example, rebooting a teammate grants you 100 points toward your rank, while eliminating players at different ranks provides a variety of points. Eliminating a player in C Rank grants 75, whereas an elimination on an S+ Rank yields 200 points.

What are Hero Items?
We mentioned Hero Items earlier, and this topic warrants further exploration. You can find these items in Hero Caches and beyond. Some are available from the beginning of Chapter 6 Season 3, with others due to join later on.
