Fortnite fans on PlayStation have the chance to win a share of over $230K in the January PlayStation Cup tournament.
PlayStation’s partnership with Epic Games and Fortnite is back. Fortnite has unveiled the next PlayStation Cup set for later this month. With over $230K up for grabs, this PlayStation-exclusive tournament is one you won’t want to miss.

Fortnite PlayStation Cup January 2022: format & dates
Grab yourself a controller and head to your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 on January 20 and 21 for the Solo PlayStation Cup qualifying rounds. These two days are imperative for participants to perform well, as only the top 50 players from each qualifier will reach the PlayStation Cup Finals on January 22. Once the top 100 is set, those players will compete for a share of $230,200.
The first qualifier is under the traditional Battle Royale mode, whereas the second utilizes the Wild Storm Solo mode. This game mode features faster early Storm Circles and “new Storm behavior in the mid-game.”

Finals prize pool & unlockable cosmetic item
Competitors who reach the PlayStation Cup Finals will hope to earn a sizable portion of $230,200. This prize pool covers all seven competitive Fortnite regions; Europe, NA East, NA West, Brazil, Oceania, Asia, and Middle East. Aside from the monetary prize pool, players that earn at least eight points in the qualifiers will unlock the “GG Iced” Emoticon.
