Tingyun’s finally back as the 5-star character Fugue!
Honkai Star Rail has officially announced the 5-star version of Tingyun! The unit, called “Fugue,” will be a playable character in an upcoming update.

In Honkai Star Rail, Tingyun’s return comes in the form of Fugue. She is a 5-star Fire Nihility unit, the first of this archetype.
Her name is more of a description of her character now. “The one in a fugue who has experienced life and death.” Fugue, in psychiatry, is defined as “a state or period of loss of awareness of one’s identity, often coupled with flight from one’s usual environment.”

This lines up with the reveal where it states that her appearance, name, and identity have been stolen.
Prior to this, Tingyun was one of the prominent characters on the Trailblazer’s journey aboard the Xianzhou Luofu. She worked for the Sky-Faring Commission and served as the crew’s guide and companion for a short while.
Sunday will be a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail!
Eventually, we learn that this Tingyun has been an impostor all along, puppeteered by Lord Ravager Phantylia. In Honkai Star Rail version 2.5, during the Trailblaze Continuance “A Fugue from Beyond,” Ruan Mei finds the genuine Tingyun. She remembers her name, at least, which paints a mistruth on theofficial revealfor Fugue.
