Plan to build Acheron in Honkai Star Rail? Here’s all her Ascension Materials and Traces that you’ll need and where to find them.
With the Acheron banner arriving on March 27, you might want to start farming her Ascension and Trace Materials in advance.
Acheron will be a limited time 5-star Lighting character. Our first encounter with Acheron is at the start of version 2.0 ahead of our arrival at Penacony. Trailblazer falls asleep on the Astral Express only to awake inside a shared dreamscape with Acheron, who believes there is a connection between the pair.
Without giving away spoilers, Acheron is an incredibly intriguing character, and her first interaction with Trailblazer reminds me of when Morpheus first meets Neo in The Matrix.
Whether you’ve met Acheron before, or simply want to Warp for her, here’s our guide to her Ascension Materials and Trace level-up materials you’ll need to maximize her potency.

Acheron is an upcoming 5-star Lightning playable character coming in Honkai Star Rail 2.1. Incredibly powerful but also complex.

Ascension Materials
These are Acheron’s Ascension Materials. Be aware that only the Shapeshifter’s Lightning Staff can easily be obtained before Penacony (Chapter 4). If you haven’t reached Chapter 4, you can make use of the Simulated Universe and the Omni-Synthesizer.

What are the Dreamjolt Troupe in Honkai Star Rail?
The Dreamjolt Troupe are new enemies that you will encounter after reaching Penacony in Chapter 4 or by facing Calyx (Golden). They will drop 3 of the 4 Acheron Ascension Materials you will need. Be mindful that Dream Making Engine only drops if your Equilibrium is Level 4 or above. (However, you may craft them in the Omni-synthesizer)
You will need to be a certain Equilibrium level for certain Dreamjolt Troupe drops

Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff location
The Shape Shifter’s Lighting Staff is a crucial Ascension material for Acheron and can be found in Xianzhou Luofu. In total to take Acheron from Level 40 to 80 (the current max level), you will require 65 Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff. This is the same material needed to build Kafka and Jing Yuan.
To have the Stargaze Navalia location (below) unlocked to farm Shape Shifter’s Lighting Staff you’ll need to have reached Chapter 3 which takes place in the Xianzhou Luofu.

Acheron Trace Materials
Traces are just as important as Ascension, if not more so. Much likeJing Liu, Acheron’s Traces include several ATK & CRIT DMG boosts which you’ll want to make the most of.
Trace Materials for Acheron
The trickiest item on theAcheron Trace Materialslist will be the Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster, as its only source is the Echo of War: Borehole Planet’s Old Crater. To unlock this Echo of War, you’ll need to complete the Trailblaze Continuance Quest calledCrown of the Mundane and Divine. This quest has a pre-requisite which is the Jarilo-VI mission calledSilent Galaxy.
Locations
For the remainingAcheron Trace Materialsyou’ll have a much easier time. Fiery Spirit, Starfire Essence and Heaven Incinerator can all be gathered via the Calyx (Crimson) and the Embers Exchange. In addition Starfire Essence and Heaven Incinerator can be crafted in the Omni-synthesizer.
