It goes out during the solar day . It runs to entrance its prey . And , as its name suggests , the burrowing owl lives in holes in the ground . And more and more of them are coming to America .
Theburrowing owllooks like your distinctive owl — maybe a bit longer in the leg than most . But while most owls perch in trees or on cliffs , this one like to find a nice pickle in the land and go in . It will be in lair abandoned by small mammals like prairie dogs . That it can find these hideaway so easily is in all probability down to the fact that it eats small mammalian like prairie blackguard .
Although the burrowing owl usually hunt at night , it ’s one of the few owls that a lot of people see during the day . It ’s out in the morning and in the previous afternoon , wandering around its tunnel and regorge you disdainful aspect for gawking . At nighttime , it hunt on the wing , but it will also chase after down its fair game by die hard after it , which account for its foresighted legs . It also accounts for the fact that a lot of burrowing owl are remove by cars .

It ’s found everywhere from Canada to South America , and all across the United States . Usually though , Floridians and east Texans do n’t get to see the owl chicks . The owl winter in the southeastern United States but only breeds in the west . And it looks like it has a preference for southern climes . They would bring out owls into the wild only to see them disappear . Worried that they were getting killed or hunted , they tracked the bird of Minerva , only to find that a lot of them moved down south to the United States and did n’t come back .
