So what is the Ancient Blade, anyway?
The “Ancient Blade” isn’t actually an equippable sword, it’s an item you’ll use to fuse to weapons or arrows. You really want to use it for arrows exclusively though, as the description is key:
“An ancient dagger-like blade. It’s too small to wield as a weapon, but it can be used as an arrowhead.”
The game is straight-up telling you that the most efficient way to use Ancient Blades is via fusion arrows: which deal a massive amount of damage, like a “super arrow.” Save it for elites or bosses.
Where do you get Ancient Blades inTears of the Kingdom?
There are several methods for acquiring Ancient Blades:
The Spirit Templeis linked to the temple storylineand can be located after finishing the four core temples in Hyrule. The story will then lead you to the Spirit Temple’s entrance, which is located to the south of the depths (we have the exact location in the gallery above).
