Capcom finally gets it
For a minute there, I was worried that Capcom was dragging its feet, unable to think about the proper way to revive theMega Manfranchise. I should have had more faith!
Taking a page fromSega’s playbook, Capcom has announced a partnership with Intel to produce a batch ofMega Man-branded Ultrabooks. Over on theRockman Ultrabook site, you can vote on one of four designs based on preexistingMega Manartwork, because making brand new, original art would just be going overboard. But if none of those picks suit your fancy, you can also submit a suggestion of your own.
There will be a couple more polls next month, then pre-orders will open on March 29 for shipping in July. If it’s like Sega’s mini notebooks, it will likewise be expensive and Japan-exclusive.
Capcom did it, you guys. WE did it. Things are looking up.
