Morgan Wallenwas arrested in Nashville on three felony charges.

The country singer, 30, allegedly threw a chair off the roof of a six-story bar on Broadway in Nashville just before 11 p.m. local time on Sunday, April 7,according to a post on X(formerly known as Twitter) from Metro Nashville police.

Two police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar at the time and watched the chair fall from the rooftop to street level, according to the statement.

Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, provided a statement to PEOPLE following the news of the star’s arrest, noting that he is “cooperating” with police.

“At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct," the statement reads. “He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

Wallen’s arrest in Nashville comes just days afterhe kicked off the 2024 legof hisOne Night at a Time World Tourin Indianapolis, Indiana with a 25-song setlist.

He’s due to be in Nashville May 2 and 3 — his set court date — for shows at Nissan Stadium following aheadlining performance at Stagecoach music festivalat the end of April.

The country singer has previously faced controversy in both 2020 and 2021 after hewas arrested on public intoxication and disorderly conduct chargeswhile out on Broadway. He issued a public apology and the charges were eventually dropped. The following year,he was captured on video saying the N-wordwhile drunk on a night out with friends. The incident led to the suspension of his record label contract, a disqualification from the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards and the removal of his songs from radio play.

He later revealed in a sit-down interview onGood Morning Americafollowinghis apologythathe checked into a rehabilitation center after the incident.
