The vampire Nitara brings MK1 roster closer to completion

Only a few weeks remain before Mortal Kombat 1’s worldwide launch. Even less time stands between eager players and the early access window. With all that said, NetherRealm Studios confirmed Nitara for MK1.

Like Ronda Rousey’s recent portrayal of Sonya Blade,  actress Megan Fox assumes the role of Nitara. This reimagined version of the 3D-era character hits home. She’s brutal and bloody—everything Nitara fans could hope to see.

The actress spoke briefly about her character portrayal, saying that it resonated with her and forced her to step out of her comfort zone. She recognized Mortal Kombat’s impact on gaming and noted that it is “cool to be in the game.”

In her previous version, Nitara resided in Outworld, needing the blood of her enemies to stay alive. In MK1, Nitara brings a bag of aerial tricks and devastating claws. Many hoped to see the vampire return in the new game; that wish has been granted.
