A gamescom 2025 stream will feature Overwatch 2 alongside other titles.
Microsoft has confirmed the presence of Overwatch 2 at gamescom 2025. Happening between Aug. 20 and Aug. 24, gamescom is an event that features artists, developers, and, of course, everyone who loves playing video games.
Overwatch 2 at gamescom 2025
According to an official announcement, Overwatch 2 will be featured during an Xbox broadcast on Aug. 21. The stream will kick off at 6 a.m. PT and also feature other games such as Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, and more.
At the time of publishing this article, it’s unclear what Overwatch 2 content will be featured at gamescom 2025. However, Microsoft did advise fans to follow Xbox’s social media channels for schedule updates and content reveals in the days leading up to the event.

The broadcast itself will be streamed in various languages in addition to English and German. These will include Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. English audio descriptions American Sign Language (ASL) will also be available.

In addition to the Overwatch 2 broadcast, Blizzard Entertainment will bring World of Warcraft (WoW) to the event. According to an announcement, players will learn about the next chapter of the Worldsoul Saga. There will also be a dedicated WoW booth located in Hall 8 of the Koelnmesse venue.
“During the show, you’ll get exclusive news and updates on the next chapter of the World of Warcraft: Worldsoul Saga — Midnight — directly from the development team, along with a few additional surprises we have in store,” Blizzard Entertainment stated.
