Padma Lakshmishared a salad recipe — with a side of teenager sass.
The formerTop Chefhost, 53, posted a clip on TikTok building a salad for herself and her daughter, Krishna.
“Meet Mother Teresa Krishna,” the cookbook author joked, prompting the teenager to roll her eyes and turn away.
“I’m so cold,” Krishna explained, adding that she can’t go get a sweatshirt because she would have to go upstairs to get it.

“I can go upstairs,” Padma answered before returning back to the salad.
“How much feta do you want?” she asked her daughter, who blankly stared back at her. “I’ll make this decision," added Padma.
“Thank you,” Krishna said.
After sprinkling the cheese, Padma presented the final dish. But Krishna had a bone to pick with one ingredient in the wedge salad. “Are those raisins?” she asks her mother in an unenthusiastic tone.
“They’re barberries,” Padma replied, promising Krishna that they are “good” and asking her daughter to try one. Krishna kept her hands at her side, taking a berry out of her mother’s hand with her mouth. She chewed on the fruit, grimacing at the tart flavor but not saying anything.
“Don’t make that face,” Padma said. “It’s good. Tell the world how good it is.”
“It’s so good,” Krishna replied unenthusiastically, making her mother laugh.
In February,Padma posted about Krishna’s birthdayand took a minute to reflect on how proud she is of her daughter in her caption.
“There are thousands of words I could say about how proud I am to be your mother and to watch you grow. Happy birthday to my#littlehands!” Lakshmi wrote.
The mother-daughter duo walked the red carpet together at the Emmys in January. Padma wore a bright green Marchesa dress for the occasion and Krishna stunned in a black dress with feathers up the bottom.
