A long awaited Shiny debut.
The Pokémon GO Scorching Steps event will take place fromFriday, June 21untilTuesday, June 25. Starting at 10am local time, and ending at 8pm.
This event will be all about Fire themed Pokémon, and Egg hatching. There is a very exciting Shiny Larvesta debut, boosted Shiny chances for Slugma and Litleo as well as some Egg related bonuses.

The Scorching Steps event will have the following bonuses:
It isn’t yet clear what the Shiny rate will be for hatching Slugma or Litleo. However, it should be at least 1/64. Make sure you use the Pokémon GO Egg Hatching widget to get 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance.

Shiny Larvesta and Volcarona debut
The Pokémon GO Scorching Steps event will see the debut of Larvesta and Volcarona in the game. However, Niantic are not making Larvesta any easier to catch during this event. That means that hatching a Larvesta will be pretty rare, so hatching a Shiny Larvesta will be a very exciting hatch indeed.
10km Eggs will be your best chance, with only two other Pokémon in the Egg pool.
