Pokémon TCG Pocket

News

It looks like Pokémon TCG isn’t done riding the Eeveelution hype just yet, as its mobile app unveils a new expansion featuring Eevee, one of the most popular Normal-type Pokémon in the franchise.

Pokémon TCG Pocket continues to keep players guessing with its recent sets, shifting fromAlola-themed releasesto a Prismatic Evolutions-inspired approach in its newest expansion, Eevee Grove.

The expansion caught many by surprise, especially since previous Pokémon TCG Pocket sets already included several Eeveelution cards, with the exception of Espeon, Sylveon, and the heavy fan favorite, Umbreon.

Most anticipated cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket: Eevee Grove

Based on the Eevee Grove trailer posted on various Pokémon TCG Pocket’s social media pages, the expansion will finally cover all eight evolution forms of Eevee, including some Fairy-type mons that use Psychic Energy like Swirlix, Milcery, and Alcremie.

Also unveiled in the expansion are two Trainer cards: Penny, a Supporter that can copy a non-Penny Supporter card from an opponent’s deck, and Eevee Bag, an Item card that lets you choose between increasing damage or healing your Eeveelution Pokémon.

Out of all the Eeveelution cards in Eevee Grove, the best ones with promising mechanics so far are Umbreon, Espeon, and Flareon ex.

Both Umbreon and Espeon provide excellent counters to powerful Pokémon ex with high damage and high Energy requirements, while Flareon ex has the most threatening offensive toolkit in the expansion with its Combust ability and 130-damage Fire Spin move.

Eevee Grove expansion release date

Eevee Grove expansion will be available in Pokémon TCG Pocket on July 10, 2025. Like the otherthemed setsthat came before it, players can only collect Eevee Grove cards from a single booster pack.

Since the expansion has only revealed a small number of cards so far, we still don’t know whether these Eeveelution cards will become staple additions to current meta decks.

While they offer some interesting moves and abilities, most Eeveelutions suffer from low HP, so they’ll definitely need the help of other Pokémon and Trainer cards to become efficient in matches.
