Some other interesting stats include the number of players killed by frying pans, with over 13 million players killed by the melee weapon duringPUBG’s time in early access. It’s not clear if this means the frying pan was the most popular melee weapon in the game, but thanks to the infographic, we at least know the most popular firearms.

According to the data, the top three most popular weapons to use inPlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsare the M416, M16A4, and AKM, respectively. However, that doesn’t mean they are thebest guns for players to use. They’re just more common, and so it makes sense that they were equipped more than harder to find but arguably more efficient weapons, like the SCAR, for instance.

It’s clear by thePlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsinfographic that the game was extremely popular while in early access. However, now that the game has seen its full release on PC and is available in early access on Xbox One, it may become an even bigger hit. It will be interesting to see ifPUBGcan maintain and grow its massive player base in the months and years to come.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsis available now on PC and on Xbox One through the Game Preview program.
