Capcom’s remake ofResident Evil 4changes several things around from the 2005 original, but something that remains mostly the same is thevillage encounterin the game’s first chapter. After getting through a few introductory sections, Leon will encounter a relatively large village that is home to many Plagas-infested villagers that are ready to take players down using any means necessary. How to Survive the Village Attack and ‘Fight Them off’
The first thing thatResident Evil 4playersneed to know about this village sequence is that it is on a timer, and there’s no way to escape the villagers' attack. The only thing players can do at this point is to run around the village and try and survive for a few minutes.This sequence will usually last around 3-5 minutes, but the timer can decrease if players decide to defeat a lot of enemies. For those that want to conserve ammo and health by avoiding all enemies, the timer might end up on the longer side.
With that being said, there are a couple of tips players can use to make sure they take as little damage as possible while also defeating enemies –and it’s still worth killing some of the villagers since they drop important resources like ammo, herbs, money, and grenades.
Tips for Surviving the Fight
Once a few minutes have passed, the villagers will mysteriously stop attacking Leon and enter the church. Leon can now explore the area without dealing with a bunch of monsters.
