The July 19 release of EA Sports College Football 25 is just weeks away, with more and more information being released about the game each week. Recently, developers revealed more about how teams will stack up against one another at the game’s launch, noting that these will be subject to change as the season progresses. So, here are the top 25 team rankings in overall, offense, and defense in College Football 25.
Top 25 offensive teams in College Football 25
According to developers, the top 25 offensive team rankings in College Football 25 are the following:
This list includes some notable teams, like Colorado who come in at 89 overall tied with other powerhouse schools like LSU and Ohio State, along with some smaller schools like SMU and UCF at 85. Only four schools will have an overall above 90 at the launch of the game in late-July.

On the defensive side, it’s no surprise to see teams like Iowa at 88 overall and Ohio State at 96 overall who looked solid on that side of the ball in the 2023-2024 season. Otherwise, you have lots of schools tied up at 84 and 88 overall, with seven schools at 90+ overall on defense.
