About time.
Team Deathmatch, a much-anticipated game mode, is coming to XDefiant on Friday, June 21, Ubisoft announced on June 18.
“What has two words, no objectives, and has been a frequent community request for many moons?” Ubisoft posted on XDefiant’s official X account. “Jump into Team Deathmatch this Friday, June 21st at 10 a.m. PT.”

This is big news for XDefiant as the closest the game has to deathmatch, which is a staple game mode for any competitive tactical shooter, is Hotshot. In Hotshot, however, you only get points by collecting bounty drops of the enemies you kill, so it’s not as simple as deathmatch or team deathmatch.
Here’s everything you need to know about Ubisoft introducing Team Deathmatch to XDefiant.

What is Team Deathmatch?
Team Deathmatch is a traditional game mode implemented to shooters. In this mode, players are split between two teams and they can only shoot at enemies rather than anybody as a free-for-all (FFA) deathmatch.
Generally speaking, a Team Deathmatch game concludes after one of the teams reaches a pre-determined number of kills or one of the teams finishes with more kills after a pre-determined time, let’s say 10 minutes. This game mode is perfect for warm-up purposes as you can focus only on shooting enemies and forget any sort of teamplay.
