If you watched the Grand Final broadcast of VALORANT Masters Bangkok, then you know a new character is coming to the FPS. That new Agent in VALORANT is a Duelist andgoes by the name of Waylay. She’s a space-taking, light-wielding machine.
And we’ve got everything you need to know, from her abilities to when she releases.
Who is Waylay?
Sincethe Masters tournament is in Bangkok, Thailand, our newest Agent is Thai. She’s a prismatic radiant that can transform into light itself.
Her space-taking abilities are meant to add another Duelist in the same subset of Jett or Raze. With Waylay coming to VALORANT, she’ll fit into a role many players have been asking for.

Waylay brings a new debuff to VALORANT called Hindering. Hindering applies a slow effect to fire rate, recoil recovery, equip time, reload speed, movement speed, and jump speed.
When does Waylay release in VALORANT?
You don’t have to wait too long to get your hands on Waylay, as the VALORANT Agent releases alongsideSeason 2025 // Act II. That new Act drops on August 18, 2025 and she’ll be available the following day.
At first, you may choose to purchase Waylay to unlock her oractivate her contract and earn enough XPto do so. Otherwise, after the contract event ends, you can add her to your roster of Agents with Kingdom Points.
